About
A cautious and reserved man that cares deeply, but trusts slowly. Loyce is a Midlander of middle-age, and a lowborn Dark Knight hailing from Ishgard; albeit one living in exile for the last few decades. Though once he served the Holy See as a House Knight, circumstances forced his hand.Wanted for his crimes ever since that day, Loyce has spent the years since wandering and fighting. Though the Dragonsong War came to a conclusion, his work never does. Finding fewer and fewer of his kindred as the years pressed on, he has taken the burden upon himself to rebuild and restore the Dark Knights. Not just for Ishgard, but for every nation that might one day face injustice and oppression. A monastic lifestyle that he takes on with ignobility and dedication.Yet despite the violent nature of his work and the secrecy it demands, he still wanders and mingles amongst the people of Eorzea. More akin to his studies of the occult, and the Dark Arts as a whole, than drawing steel for it's own sake. Wanderer: Loyce travels about the Star hither and thither both for personal reasons and to fulfill his mysterious duties. From Thanalan, to Gridania, to even the Far East and Tural on occasion-- this knight wanders. Perhaps you've stumbled across him?Aetherically Challenged: Loyce has a damaged aetherpool; though he can still cast spells, his aether does not regenerate on its own via natural means. Perhaps you can sense this?Surprisingly Scholarly: This Dark Knight can often be found skulking about various libraries and bookstores about Eorzea; always carrying a book on hand and eager to delve more into learning. Perhaps you have seen him reading or browsing?Out of Place: Loyce holds on to the identity of the Dark Knight firmly, yet rarely expects those outside of Ishgard to even know what that is. His need to always be armed and armoured tends to make him stick out when compared to most local styles of gear and adventurer. Most certainly when he is in places like the Quicksand.
